Workstate seeks a COBOL Developer to join our team for an 18-month modernization project! In this role, you will convert a legacy RPG II codebase to COBOL on IBM z/OS in preparation for a cloud migration to Google Cloud Platform using the Raincode mainframe rehosting platform. You will work as part of a larger conversion team. If you are a solid COBOL engineer who enjoys working with data and takes pride in accurate, well-tested code, you'll fit right in at Workstate .
This position is fully remote and available to people residing in Colombia or Argentina with the right to work in that country.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of professional COBOL development experience on IBM z/OS mainframes. Beyond that, we're looking for some of the following skills, but not necessarily all:
