Senior Corporate Counsel

About Vector Legal

Vector Legal is a modern solution for startup legal: combining a full-service law firm with a purpose-built AI (VectorAI) platform. We're backed by some of the best investors in Silicon Valley, including Y Combinator, Base10, Transpose Platform, and others, to reinvent the way that legal solutions are delivered for Startups.

We support companies across their lifecycle, including complex formations, fundraising and priced rounds, commercial contracting, hiring and team changes, mergers and acquisitions, and dissolutions. VectorAI powers agentic data rooms, proprietary draft/review/negotiate tools, e-signatures, cap table management, legal health checks and more.

Our goal is to make high-quality legal work faster, more scalable, and more cost-efficient.

About the Role

We’re hiring an experienced attorney to serve as both a client-facing legal advisor and a core contributor to our platform. This is a hybrid role combining traditional legal practice with product-minded thinking, working directly with startup clients while helping shape how legal services are delivered through our system.

You’ll operate across a broad range of startup legal work, with exposure to areas like commercial contracting, trademarks/IP, and M&A. In parallel, you’ll work closely with engineering and product to translate legal expertise into scalable workflows, playbooks, and platform features.

This role is best suited for someone who has strong judgment, is comfortable owning client relationships, and is excited about rethinking how legal services are built and delivered.

• Advise on a range of issues including fundraising, contracts, IP/trademarks, and M&A
• Draft, review, and negotiate key legal documents across the company lifecycle
• Build and refine legal playbooks, templates, and best practices
• Collaborate with product and engineering to translate legal workflows into platform features
• Contribute to the development of scalable, repeatable legal processes
• Support and mentor junior legal team members and paralegals
• Maintain high standards of legal quality while operating in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment
