Territory Manager - NSW/ACT

Our Story

At The a2 Milk Company , we believe in doing dairy differently. Driven by science and a pioneering spirit, The a2 Milk Company disrupted the dairy and infant milk formula industry. Our vision is to create an A1-free world where dairy nourishes all people and our planet. We seek to achieve this through the naturally occurring a2 Milk® difference and by bringing a more sustainable approach to dairy.

As our brand continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced FMCG Territory Manager to join our Field Sales team and help accelerate our presence across NSW and ACT. This is an opportunity to build on your current territory management experience with broader commercial ownership, exposure across corporate and independent retail channels, and the chance to influence growth within a global FMCG business.

Our Opportunity

Reporting to the National Field Sales Manager, you'll take ownership of your territory and its growth plan, building strong partnerships with retailers, expanding distribution and ensuring a2 Milk® is brilliantly represented in-store.

This is more than a relationship-management role. You'll use data and market insight to identify untapped ranging and distribution opportunities, negotiate for stronger placement and promotional support, and turn a focused territory strategy into measurable commercial results.

More specifically, you'll:

• Build strong, collaborative relationships with retail partners and independent grocers
• Grow sales and distribution by identifying new ranging and promotional opportunities
• Maximise in-store execution through availability, shelf facings, placement and brand visibility
• Develop our presence within independent supermarkets and grocers, including working with Metcash and distributor networks
• Use store performance data and market insights to identify opportunities and shape your territory strategy
• Plan efficient store coverage and routes to maximise your impact across the territory
• Support strong merchandising execution within your territory and provide feedback and guidance to the Merchandiser
• Share market intelligence and actionable insights with the National Field Sales Manager and Account Manager.

This is a remote, field-based role covering NSW/ACT and includes travel by car to Canberra at least once every eight weeks , with the timing of those trips able to be arranged flexibly by mutual agreement.

About You

You may already be managing an FMCG territory and be ready for greater ownership, a premium brand and the opportunity to make a visible commercial impact. You're commercially minded, naturally curious and relationship-focused, and you know how to build trusted retailer relationships, uncover growth opportunities and translate sales data into focused action.

• You'll ideally bring:
• FMCG field sales, Territory Management or Account Management experience
• Experience working with corporate and/or independent supermarkets
• Strong relationship-building, influencing and negotiation skills
• The ability to interpret sales data and turn insights into action
• A track record of improving distribution, shelf presence or sales performance
• Strong organisation, territory and route-planning capability
• Confidence working independently while contributing to a broader team
• An unrestricted full Australian driver's licence.

While direct FMCG Territory Management experience will be highly regarded, we know strong talent can arrive through different paths. If you've built relevant experience across FMCG account management, retail field sales, merchandising or customer partnerships and can demonstrate commercial ownership and results, we'd also encourage you to apply.

Why you'll love working with us

You'll have genuine ownership of a significant NSW/ACT territory, with the freedom to plan your approach, influence its growth strategy and see the commercial impact of your work. You'll represent a premium, trusted brand, gain exposure across corporate, independent, Metcash and distributor networks, and work closely with senior sales stakeholders as part of a collaborative national team.

At The a2 Milk Company , you'll join a collaborative and purpose-led business where people are trusted to make an impact. We're proud to be recognised as a Family Inclusive Workplace and offer policies and practices that support flexibility, parental leave, family care and wellbeing.
