Job location: Remote, India About the role: We are looking for an experienced SAP Data Engineer / SAP ABAP Engineer to join our Data Engineering team and strengthen in-house capabilities in the SAP ecosystem.

Design and maintain reliable SAP data extraction and integration pipelines using technologies such as ODP, CDS Views, and OData, and leverage Data Sphere as an endpoint or intermediary.
Assist SAP data integration with the broader data platform, including SAP Datasphere and cloud-based data environments.
Partner with SAP functional consultants, data engineering teams, business stakeholders, and external SAP partners to deliver solutions and resolve complex issues.
Take ownership of SAP technical problems, document solutions, and help build in-house SAP capabilities while reducing reliance on external partners.

Good knowledge of at least one SAP functional module; SAP SD experience is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work with functional consultants and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Experience with SAP data extraction and integration mechanisms such as ODP, CDS Views, and OData. proficiency of SAP ERP data structures, tables, and relationships.
Experience working with SAP interfaces and integrations with external systems.
Exposure to SAP Datasphere or similar SAP data/integration technologies is highly desirable.
Strong SQL skills and good understanding of data engineering concepts.
Experience with Python and/or cloud data platforms is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate complex SAP issues.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
