About the Company
We are an established construction company specializing in high-end residential landscapes, swimming pools, and outdoor living projects. Our accounting team supports a fast-moving, project-driven business where accuracy, organization, and financial discipline are critical to keeping projects on track and the company operating at its best.
Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented, motivated accounting professional to join our accounting and finance team. This position is intended for someone with a strong accounting foundation who is willing to initially learn our company, systems, processes, and construction accounting workflow through hands-on transactional accounting work.
The role will begin with accounting support, data entry, document processing, and transaction review — with the opportunity to grow into Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, job costing, reconciliations, financial reporting support, and broader accounting responsibilities.
We are not looking for a data-entry employee. We are looking for someone who understands accounting principles, asks good questions, identifies discrepancies, takes ownership of their work, and has the ability to grow into a larger accounting role within the company.

Enter and maintain accounting transactions accurately and timely
Process vendor invoices and supporting documentation
Assist with Accounts Payable transaction entry and organization

Review transactions for missing, incorrect, or inconsistent information
Assist with matching invoices, payments, purchase information, and project costs
Maintain accounting spreadsheets, schedules, and supporting documentation
Assist the accounting team with routine accounting and administrative tasks
Learn the company's accounting systems, construction workflow, chart of accounts, projects, vendors, and internal procedures

Month-end close support
Financial reporting support

What We Are Looking For
The right person will be:
Accurate and detail-oriented
Organized and dependable
Comfortable working with a high volume of financial information
Accountable for completing work correctly and on time
Willing to ask questions rather than make unsupported assumptions
Able to identify when something does not look correct
Interested in understanding why transactions are handled a certain way — not simply entering information
Able to follow established procedures while also identifying opportunities to improve them
Comfortable receiving feedback and learning new responsibilities
Interested in developing professionally and taking on greater responsibility over time
Looking for a long-term opportunity rather than simply completing assigned tasks
Growth Opportunity
This position is designed to grow. The initial priority will be learning the company and becoming highly reliable with transactional accounting and accounting support. As the employee demonstrates accuracy, accounting knowledge, judgment, communication, and ownership, we expect the position to develop into increasingly responsible accounting functions.
A successful employee could eventually progress through:
Accounting Support → Accounts Payable & Receivable → Reconciliations & Job Costing → Month-End Accounting → Financial Reporting Support → Broader Accounting Responsibilities Our objective is to develop a long-term member of our accounting team who understands both accounting principles and how our business operates.
