The Mission
Publitas turns static, dead PDFs into interactive, shoppable digital content discovery experiences. For our global enterprise clients, transforming their traditional assets requires seamless technical alignment, strategic onboarding, and flawless execution.
Your mission as Project Manager is to take end-to-end ownership of complex enterprise SaaS implementation projects, guiding major brands from initial onboarding to successful expansion. We work 80% asynchronously and judge success entirely by your ability to manage risks, align stakeholders, and deliver measurable customer value, not by the number of hours you sit on Zoom.
What Success Looks Like (Your First 90 Days)
We don't measure you only by years of experience; we look at how effectively you take ownership, learn our environment, and deliver results. Here is what we expect you to achieve in your first 3 months:
Day 30 : You have built a strong understanding of the Publitas product suite, value proposition, and delivery methodologies. You have shadowed active implementation projects and started taking ownership of your first client projects and stakeholder communication.
Day 60 : You are independently managing client implementations, including scoping discussions, timeline planning, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional coordination. You can identify risks early, make practical decisions, and escalate when needed rather than relying on close day-to-day guidance.
Day 90 : You have successfully delivered your first enterprise implementation project from kickoff to launch. You have established trusted relationships with client and internal stakeholders and are confidently managing your own project portfolio with a high degree of autonomy.
Requirements
The DNA of a Project Manager at Publitas (Culture & Ownership)
High Ownership Delivery : You don't just pass messages between clients and developers; you take responsibility for moving projects forward from start to finish. You proactively identify risks, keep stakeholders aligned, manage priorities, and drive projects to completion. You are comfortable making decisions independently while knowing when something needs additional input or escalation.
Collaborative Bridge-Builder : You thrive at the intersection of client management and technical execution. You can confidently manage conversations with German-speaking enterprise clients and work closely with our technical teams to scope API integrations, custom development workflows, analytics setups, and other implementation requirements. You don't need to be an engineer, but you are comfortable working with technical topics and asking the right questions.
High Autonomy, Zero Ego : In a remote-first, asynchronous environment, you are highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing your own workload. You don't need constant direction to know what should happen next. You take initiative, communicate clearly, and focus on outcomes while actively collaborating and asking for input when it improves the result.
Continuous Improvement Mindset : You already have a strong foundation in project management and are looking to deepen your experience with enterprise SaaS delivery. You learn from each project, share what works, and contribute ideas that make our delivery processes clearer, faster, and more effective.
What We Offer You to Win
Competitive Compensation : A competitive salary geo-bracketed to your location.
True Remote Autonomy : No clock-watching or useless alignment meetings. You manage your projects and schedule independently.
Global Team Retreats : Working remotely shouldn't mean working isolated. We gather the entire company in inspiring cities across the globe once a year to connect, strategize, and celebrate in person.
Modern Stack & Gear : A top-tier MacBook, remote work accessories, and a co-working allowance if you prefer to work outside your home.
Personal Growth Budget : A monthly wellness allowance, an education/course budget to sharpen your skills, and free access to Kindle and Audible books.
Time Off & Perks : 25 days of paid vacation plus your local national holidays, along with free Publitas Swag.
The Non-Negotiables
Fluent German & English : You will navigate complex enterprise client conversations in German and collaborate with our global, distributed team in English.
3+ Years SaaS Implementation Experience : You have a proven track record of managing and delivering complex, technical enterprise SaaS project lifecycles from onboarding to expansion, ideally within retail, publishing, or marketing tech.
Technical & Commercial Acumen : You are deeply familiar with project management tools (Agile, Asana, Jira) and possess a solid understanding of HTML, design tools, analytics, APIs, and custom integrations to effectively scope technical client requirements.
AI-First Execution : We do not scale headcount to solve manual problems. You must have a proven track record of working in an AI-first way, leveraging generative AI tools to hyper-personalize communications, automate project documentation, summarize meeting data, and accelerate your delivery velocity.
At Publitas, we see AI as a core lever for performance, efficiency, and innovation. We expect all team members to actively use AI in their daily work to improve quality, speed, and output.
Depending on the role, this ranges from effectively using AI tools in day-to-day workflows to designing and scaling AI-driven systems. We are not looking for candidates who are “AI-curious”; we look for people who already use AI to do better work and can demonstrate tangible impact.
