At Netflix , our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.
The Content Promotion and Distribution (CPD) Engineering Organization creates technology to set up, promote, and launch content on the Netflix service and off service on social channels. We build products and services that manage a global entertainment catalog and enable our members to discover, choose and talk about the content they can watch or play.
Spotlight on Content and Catalog Understanding Engineering Team:
Within the CPD organization, the Content and Catalog Understanding Engineering Team is responsible for building technology that enables both human and machine learning-based review of our entertainment catalog to enable classification and categorization. This powers the fundamental building blocks for how member discovery experience is constructed, how we target the right advertisements against the right content, and much more. In this role, you will build workflows that enable:
Tagging content with genres, characters, storylines, and other key dimensions.
Designing, launching, and promoting immersive experiences that captivate global fans.
Creating editorial content that invites fans to connect deeper with their favorite titles.

Experience with microservices, data modeling, and API design, and translating business requirements into technical designs and data models.
