About the Company
Our client is an AI-powered maternal health company that is revolutionizing care by connecting patients with an integrated network of providers, including OB-GYNs, lactation consultants, and doulas.
Their advanced AI tools, telehealth platform, and provider collaboration streamline care delivery, ensuring mothers receive high-quality, personalized care while connecting them to resources and actively addressing healthcare disparities.
Their dedicated team of trained doulas offers personalized guidance, emotional reassurance, and practical assistance, fostering a nurturing environment for both mother and baby. By empowering women with knowledge and advocacy, the company aims to enhance the birthing experience and promote positive outcomes for every family they serve.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer who will own product features end to end, from understanding a mom's problem to shipping a polished solution. You'll work closely with design and the founders, move fast, and care as much about the user experience and outcomes as about the code.
This role is for someone with a startup mentality — someone who will do whatever it takes to exceed the roadmap, not just meet it. It's a high-pace, high-ownership environment. The right person doesn't just contribute to the mission — they become exponentially part of it, treating the company's goals as their own and pushing well past what's asked.
We own our tasks and features end to end, love innovation, and encourage people to build new and exciting tools. Our processes and our code affect thousands of people instantaneously — what you ship this week is in a mother's hands, and it matters, this week.
Responsibilities
Own features end to end: scope, build (frontend + backend), ship, measure, and iterate
Partner closely with design and the founders to turn user problems into great product
Obsess over UX, quality, and the details that make a sensitive product feel trustworthy
Use data and user feedback to decide what to build, and what to cut
Help shape product direction, not just implement tickets
Build responsibly with sensitive health data (HIPAA-aware)
Requirements
Hands-on experience with Angular, NestJS, and Postgres (or the proven ability to ramp into them quickly). Whatever your specialty, you'll do regular full-stack work in this stack, not only your focus area
Strong full-stack experience shipping user-facing product end to end
Genuine product sense, you think about the user and the "why," not only the "how"
A bias to ship and comfort with ambiguity at an early stage
A strong eye for UX and quality
Bonus: design sensibility, consumer or health product experience, early-stage startup experience
How You Operate
You have a startup mentality, you'll do whatever it takes to exceed the roadmap, not just hit it
You thrive in high pace, high ambiguity environments and don't need structure handed to you, you build it as you go
You're bought into the mission, the company's goals are your goals, not a checklist
You have a bias to ship, you'd rather learn from a real user than polish in a vacuum
You move fluidly across the stack, from a UI detail to a backend fix to a release, without waiting to be told which one matters more
You care about the humans on the other end of the screen and bring that care into every design and engineering decision
