The Massachusetts Impaired Driver (MID) Instructor provides group and/or individual clinical services to patients mandated by Court or RMV to complete the driver alcohol education program. The MID Instructor completes initial adult comprehensive assessments for program admission, mid-point evaluations, and exit interviews for each participant. Additionally, the instructor participates in ongoing curriculum development and provides documentation and consultation with probation officers, courts, and the Department of Motor Vehicles.
The MID Program is a 16-week educational program for individuals with a first DUI conviction. Participation is court-mandated, requiring attendance at sixteen 2-hour group sessions, a mid-point interview, and an exit interview.
