Job Description:
Overview
The Director, Web Development is responsible for leading the strategy, operations, governance, and continuous evolution of insightsoftware ’s global web ecosystem. This role oversees the people, processes, platforms, and external partners responsible for delivering scalable, high-performing digital experiences that support pipeline generation, brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth.
Reporting to the VP, Digital Marketing, this individual leads the Web Experience function, encompassing web development, UX/UI design, CMS management, web publishing operations, and technical website support. The Director is accountable for translating broader Digital Marketing and business priorities into actionable web roadmaps, scalable solutions, and consistent execution across insightsoftware ’s multi-brand ecosystem.
This role partners closely with Discoverability Optimization (SEO/AEO), MarTech & Analytics, Brand, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, IT, and external agencies to ensure websites deliver strong user experiences, technical performance, discoverability, and conversion opportunities.
The Director also owns the Web Experience operating model, including intake, prioritization, resource planning, governance, and delivery processes, ensuring the team can effectively support multiple brands and business units while advancing strategic initiatives.
This is a strategic leadership and operational management role focused on directing teams, establishing scalable processes, and overseeing execution rather than hands-on development work.
What You'll Do
Web Experience Strategy & Leadership
Lead the strategy, operations, and continuous evolution of insightsoftware ’s multi-brand web ecosystem, overseeing UX/UI design, web development, CMS operations, publishing workflows, and website infrastructure.
Direct web platform strategy and technical roadmaps, including modern architecture (Storyblok, Astro, Vercel), infrastructure enhancements, integrations, and long-term scalability.
Establish governance, standards, and scalable processes that ensure consistent, accessible, secure, high-performing digital experiences while improving operational efficiency through automation and reusable capabilities.
Guide teams in delivering user-centered experiences that balance brand consistency with the needs of individual products, audiences, and business units.
Partner with Discoverability Optimization, MarTech & Analytics, Demand Generation, and CRO stakeholders to incorporate SEO/AEO, analytics, experimentation, personalization, and conversion optimization requirements into web priorities and execution.
Oversee website performance and continuous improvement, ensuring accountability for usability, accessibility, reliability, technical performance, and operational effectiveness.
Direct Web Experience planning and execution for major transformation initiatives, including website migrations, platform consolidations, rebrands, and acquisition integrations, ensuring effective cross-functional coordination, quality assurance, and post-launch stabilization.

Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, design systems, accessibility standards, responsive design, and website usability.
Experience managing external development agencies, vendors, contractors, and distributed technical resources.
Working knowledge of technical SEO, AEO, website performance optimization, experimentation, and personalization.
Ability to translate business priorities into actionable technical roadmaps, operational plans, and digital experience improvements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to guide prioritization and operational decisions.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Experience operating within B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or high-growth technology organizations strongly preferred.
