ROLE OVERVIEW
About the Client:
Our client designs and manufactures award-winning retail displays for leading consumer brands. Our high-impact, in-store visual merchandising helps companies increase retail visibility, improve shopper engagement, and drive product sell-through across diverse industries—including beauty, cosmetics, eyewear, fashion, pet care, electronics, cannabis, sporting goods, packaging, and trade marketing.
Known for our high standards and relationship-first business model, we are growing and looking for an ambitious Business Development Representative who wants to play a key role in building new client relationships and expanding our footprint in an entrepreneurial environment.
About the Role:
This is a critical, high-visibility role where you will partner directly with the President to scale outbound B2B appointment setting and pipeline growth. You will not be responsible for closing business; success is measured entirely by the quality of opportunities you create and the executive meetings you book.
Unlike traditional high-volume transactional sales positions, this role demands an intelligent, consultative approach. You will target executive decision-makers (Presidents, CEOs, VPs, and Senior Buyers/Directors) who require a peer-to-peer, value-driven conversation. There are no rigid scripts or pushy tactics—your goal is to leverage critical thinking, natural curiosity, and sharp communication to uncover business pain points and schedule high-value discovery meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
Outbound Pipeline Generation: Prospect, qualify, and engage target accounts and executive decision-makers via cold outreach, phone, personalized email sequences, and LinkedIn.
Consultative Outreach: Conduct unscripted, thoughtful interactions that build rapport, solve business problems, and clearly communicate value propositions.
Qualified Meeting Booking: Schedule high-value discovery meetings once fit is established.
Strategic Follow-Up: Execute persistent, professional, and intelligent follow-up campaigns to nurture long-term leads through the funnel.
CRM Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records in HubSpot CRM, ensuring every opportunity has a clearly documented next step.
Strategy & Feedback: Participate in weekly sales strategy meetings and provide feedback to refine messaging and prospecting strategies.

Experience: 2–5 years of proven outbound B2B sales development or appointment-setting experience.
Executive Reach: Demonstrated success opening doors with C-suite, VP, and Director-level decision-makers.
CRM & Tools: Experience using HubSpot (or similar CRMs like Salesforce) to manage pipelines.
Communication Skills: Flawless, native-level spoken and written English with a polished, professional tone.
Consultative Style: Naturally curious, articulate, quick on your feet, and driven by solving business problems rather than reciting scripts.
Resilience & Mindset: Highly organized, self-motivated, coachable, and resilient in the face of rejection ("doesn't get discouraged by hearing 'no'").
AI Capability: Candidate must be AI-capable and eager to continuously learn and adopt AI tools to enhance prospecting efficiency.
Preferred:
Background or experience selling into consumer products, manufacturing, retail, packaging, POP displays, retail fixtures, or brand/trade marketing.
Ambition and desire to grow into a senior sales role within the company over time.
