Who We Are
Icon Health is a leading provider of value-based musculoskeletal (MSK) care, collaborating with payers and providers to enhance outcomes and experience for individuals. The company partners with health plans and risk-bearing providers to assume accountability for reduced total cost of care. By combining technology-enabled MSK providers with proactive care coordination and decision support services, Icon Health delivers multidisciplinary, evidence-based care.
We founded Icon Health on the conviction that every patient should be genuinely delighted with their care experience. By prioritizing patient-centered practices, ensuring clear care goals across the entire clinical team, and placing clinicians at the heart of care delivery, we aim to transform a fragmented system into one that truly serves patients. Our model uses a team-based approach to care, integrating musculoskeletal expertise and primary care to achieve better patient outcomes.
At Icon Health , we foster a culture that embraces bold thinking, rapid iteration, and practical problem-solving. We seek team members who relish challenging the status quo and thrive in vertically integrated roles—where ideas can swiftly move from concept to execution without layers of red tape. Above all, we value individuals who are eager to roll up their sleeves, tackle obstacles head-on, and create innovative solutions that improve the lives of our patients and our clinical partners.
About the Role:
The Chief of Staff works directly with our executive team to keep the company's priorities on track. You'll manage the leadership team's planning and follow-through across all of our workstreams, and you'll own special projects in operations and product. This role is for someone comfortable with both big picture and detail: some weeks that means organizing leadership meetings and tracking decisions, other weeks it means sitting down with operations to define a new workflow and follow through on implementation.
What You'll Do:
Executive priorities and operating cadence Own the company's priority-setting and tracking process, including OKRs, cross-functional initiatives, and progress reporting in collaboration with the executive team Prepare for, manage, and follow up on leadership meetings so that decisions get made, owners are clear, and work moves forward See across workstreams to catch dependencies, conflicts, and resourcing gaps early, and help the executive team re-prioritize as the business changes Prepare materials for leadership, the board, and partners, including strategy decks and partner readouts Special projects Lead time-bound, cross-functional initiatives in operations and product, from scoping through launch Turn ambiguous problems into clear plans: define the problem, gather data, align stakeholders, and break work into actionable pieces for operations, data, and engineering teams Stand up new processes, evaluate new market or program opportunities, and fill gaps while permanent owners are identified Support recruiting and onboarding for key roles as the team grows
What You'll Bring:
5+ years in strategy, operations, consulting, or a Chief of Staff or similar role, ideally in a healthcare or high-growth startup environment
Strong structured problem-solving and project management skills, with a track record of driving cross-functional work to completion
Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive-ready materials
Comfort working with technical teams and translating business needs into requirements
Sound judgment, discretion, and a low-ego, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
Nice to Have:
Experience in value-based care, Medicare Advantage, or provider operations
Familiarity with product or engineering processes (roadmaps, sprints, backlog management)
