We’re Hiring a Talent Management Specialist! 🌎🎯 We don't just run marketing. We scale restaurant brands.
Hook + Ladder is a fast-growing fractional marketing agency that helps multi-location restaurant brands, think QSRs with 100-500 locations, fast casual concepts, and regional chains, grow revenue, drive foot traffic, and win local markets. We operate as a true extension of their marketing teams.
We’re looking for a Talent Management Specialist who doesn’t just wait for applications to come in. Someone who knows how to find great people, build genuine relationships, assess talent thoughtfully, and keep strong candidates engaged throughout the hiring process. If you love the hunt for great talent, know how to turn a cold outreach into a real conversation, and thrive in a fast-moving environment where you’re trusted to own your work, this role was built for you.
Okay, but why Hook + Ladder? 👀
🏡 Remote-first, flexible, and built on trust. We care about outcomes, not clock-ins. You'll have the autonomy to own your work without micromanagement, while being supported by a collaborative team that has your back.
🚀 Your work creates real impact. Your ideas won't sit in a deck collecting dust. You'll help drive measurable growth for exciting multi-location brands, and your contributions will directly influence client success.
🌱 Built to grow. As the agency scales, so can your career. We invest in your development through coaching, strengths-based growth, continuous feedback, and opportunities to become one of our future leaders.
💰 Great work deserves great rewards. Enjoy a remote-first culture, flexible PTO, unlimited sick days, and a profit-sharing program. Because when we win, everyone wins!
✨Who you are & the impact you’ll make:
You’re a hunter, not just an applicant manager. You know how to find great talent beyond active applicants and build strong pipelines through proactive sourcing.
You build real relationships. You turn initial outreach into genuine conversations and keep strong candidates engaged throughout the process.
You know how to assess talent. You conduct thoughtful screening interviews and know how to dig into experience, motivation, communication, and role fit.
You communicate with intention. You know how to create genuine interest in the company while setting clear and realistic expectations for candidates.
You’re curious about the work behind the roles. You enjoy learning about digital marketing, creative, performance, content, and client-facing roles to understand what makes someone a strong fit.
You own the process. You keep candidate information, feedback, scorecards, and next steps organized so nothing falls through the cracks.
You’re a strong hiring partner. You collaborate closely with hiring managers, ask the right questions, and recalibrate quickly based on feedback.
You thrive in fast-moving, high-trust environments. You’re comfortable with changing priorities, autonomy, and figuring things out without waiting to be told what to do.
This job is for you if:
🎯 2+ years of experience in recruiting, sourcing, talent acquisition, or talent-focused roles, with a strong focus on proactive sourcing and outreach.
🔍 Strong headhunting and sourcing skills, with experience finding talent beyond active applicants through LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, communities, referrals, job boards, or other creative sourcing strategies.
💻 Experience recruiting for digital marketing, creative, agency, or tech teams. You’re comfortable learning enough about different functions to understand what makes a candidate relevant.
🤝 Strong relationship-building skills. You know how to build genuine connections with candidates, hiring managers, and recruiting partners.
🎙️ Experience conducting structured screening interviews and assessing experience, motivation, communication, and role fit.
📋 Strong organizational and documentation skills. You can manage multiple candidates and hiring processes simultaneously without things falling through the cracks.
🚀 Comfort working with autonomy and changing priorities. You don’t need someone checking in on you every step of the way.
🗣️ Fluent English (C1).
Bonus points if you:
Have experience working in an agency, staffing, or executive search environment.
Have recruited for niche or hard-to-fill roles.
Have experience building or nurturing talent pipelines or talent communities.
Have experience working with remote-first or distributed teams across multiple locations or countries.
Have experience coordinating with multiple hiring stakeholders.
Feel comfortable facilitating cross-team events and coordinating team logistics, including shipping and deliverables for team members.
Do NOT apply if:
You rely only on job boards and not proactive sourcing.
You see recruiting as a transactional process rather than relationship building.
You struggle with organization, documentation, or follow-through.
You prefer slow-paced environments with minimal change.
You want a role with rigid structure and little autonomy.
