We’re Hiring a Content Strategist ✍️ We don't just run marketing. We scale restaurant brands.
Hook + Ladder is a fast-growing fractional marketing agency that helps multi-location restaurant brands, think QSRs with 100-500 locations, fast casual concepts, and regional chains, grow revenue, drive foot traffic, and win local markets. We operate as a true extension of their marketing teams.
We're looking for a Content Strategist who doesn't just create; they lead. Someone who sees the whole board: brand voice, channel performance, customer journey, and creative quality all at once. If you've always wanted to own a content function that actually moves business outcomes for real, recognizable brands, this role was built for you.
Why you’ll love it here:
🔥 High autonomy, high trust: We hire smart people and give them ownership. No micromanagement, no endless approvals, no corporate bureaucracy. You’ll have the freedom to test ideas, move fast, and turn insights into high-performing content.
📈 Performance-driven creativity: We care about storytelling, but we care just as much about engagement, conversions, and business impact. You’ll use performance data to guide decisions, optimize content, and scale what works.
🚀 Real influence on brand growth: Your ideas won’t sit in a deck collecting dust. You’ll help shape campaigns, messaging frameworks, creative direction, and content systems that directly contribute to growth.
🤝 Collaborative creative environment: You’ll work closely with designers, Client Success Managers, and Performance Specialists in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where ideas are valued, and initiative is rewarded.
🏡 Remote-first + flexible PTO: We care about outcomes, not clock-ins.
✨Who you are & the impact you’ll make:
You think in strategy, not just tactics. You don’t ask “what should I post today?” - you ask “what does this brand need to achieve this quarter, and how does content help get us there?” You understand B2C buying psychology and how to move audiences from scroll to table.
You know how to turn content into measurable growth. You lead content strategy across social media, email marketing, paid advertising, and websites, ensuring every touchpoint aligns with brand positioning, audience behaviour, and business goals.
You own content calendars from planning through execution, develop creative briefs and messaging frameworks, and help guide content production through clear creative direction and shot lists.
You write with intention. Your copy is clear, on-brand, and built to perform whether it’s a 3-word CTA for a Meta ad or a full email nurture sequence. You understand that tone is a strategy.
You stay ahead of trends, platform behaviour, and cultural moments to create social strategies that feel relevant, engaging, and native to each platform.
You know how to identify winning ideas and scale them. You use audience insights, performance data, and platform learnings to continuously optimize content across channels and formats.
You own quality. Every piece of content that goes out under your watch reflects your standards. You review, refine, and push for better because you genuinely care about the work.
You thrive in fast-moving, high-trust environments. We don’t micromanage. We set the direction, give you the tools, and trust you to execute.
