Description
This is a talent pipeline listing. While we may not have an immediate seat open today, our rapid growth means we are proactively seeking candidates for upcoming Business Development positions. By submitting your CV, you will join our priority candidate pool for future roles on the 7L / Freightos team.
7L by Freightos digitizes domestic and international rate management, quoting & booking for over 300 of North America’s logistics providers and carriers. Or, in plain English, we help move the world, offering incredible technology that simplifies the working life of the people who help get the goods we all use wherever they need to go.
We’re not alone either. 7LFreight is a proud part of Freightos (Nasdaq: CRGO), the global booking and payment platform for the trillion-dollar freight industry. Hundreds of airlines and ocean liners, thousands of freight companies, and over ten thousand importers and exporters use our platform to move goods around the world faster and more efficiently. This matters. Efficient freight ultimately makes things cost a little bit less when you buy them in the store.
As we continue to expand, we are always on the lookout for Business Development Executives with crucial industry know-how. We don't expect you to have checked every single box, but candidates in our talent pool generally possess a solid, foundational understanding of how the freight and logistics puzzle fits together, typically coming from one of these backgrounds:
From the Freight Forwarding World: You know the ins and outs of export, import, or domestic logistics across air, ocean, or ground freight—whether you gained that experience in sales or operations.
From Logistics Service Providers: Maybe you’ve worked directly with airlines, trucking companies (LTL/FTL), ocean carriers, or handled the daily hustle at terminals, docks, and warehouses.
From Logistics Tech: Or perhaps you come from the software side, helping supply chain and logistics companies digitize their operations.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll balance high-level business development strategy with a lot of hands-on, day-to-day grit. Here is what your focus will look like:
Hunt for New Business: You'll proactively identify and pursue fresh opportunities through smart prospecting, cold outreach, and active networking.
Own the Pitch: You'll schedule and conduct engaging meetings to show prospective clients exactly how our platform can make their lives easier.
Sell Responsively: We lean into consultative selling, which means you'll dive deep into client pain points, understand their unique business operations, and tailor our solution to fit.
Master the Platform: You'll become an expert on our SaaS platform so you can seamlessly showcase its value and handle any question that comes your way.
Onboard & Retain: You'll guide new users through training so they comfortably adopt the platform, while keeping an eye on account management and upsell opportunities.
Represent the Brand: You'll hit the road to represent us at key industry conferences, trade shows, and regional networking events.
