Our client is seeking a Senior Director of Planners to join their team.
Their mission is to empower people to live more enriched lives by delivering a new standard of advice. By removing asset minimums, they provide holistic planning that goes far beyond investments to address every way money impacts life. Their team of CFP® professionals are at the core of our service and are empowered by our best-in-class support teams and proprietary technology platform. This model allows the firm to integrate advice into their members' entire financial picture—all for an affordable, flat membership fee.
The Senior Director of Planners role is a high-impact, "leader of leaders" role designed for someone who is passionate about redefining the human impact of financial advice. We have moved past the traditional silos of wealth management to build a workforce that turns financial data into life-changing guidance. In this role, you aren't just managing a department; you are leading a community of growth-seekers empowered by technology to do what only humans can: connect, coach, and catalyze real-life change. By upleveling our leadership layer, you will empower every planner on the team to execute our Evolved Planner playbook with elite quality, deep consistency, and true human impact at scale.
What Makes This Role Different?
Scale Life Change, Not Products: Your primary mission is to ensure every member receives objective, life-changing advice. You are the leader of a model that prioritizes "service with soul," empowering our planners to understand a member's unique psychology and money stories to drive real behavior change.
Focus on the Member, Not the Paperwork: We've built a proprietary, tech-enabled ecosystem to take the administrative burden off our planners' plates. As a leader, you ensure this synergy allows our team to move beyond transactional tasks and step into elevated roles as inspiring guides and thought partners.
Leadership of Technology-Fluent Professionals: You will lead the organization through the transition from tech proficiency to AI fluency. You focus your energy on coaching our teams to work hand-in-hand with our systems, unlocking the human "superpower" of empathy and connection that technology cannot replicate.
Join a Movement: We operate with a flat, non-hierarchical structure that eliminates silos. You aren't just managing a department; you're leading a community of growth-seekers redefining an underserved industry and saving the world for families.
Your Impact & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Capacity Management: Manage and scale the Planning Leadership Team, coaching them to be world-class developers of talent who master the human elements of advice. You will oversee the strategic health and capacity of the entire organization, ensuring we balance workforce demand with an elite member experience to drive sustainable growth.
Deputy to the VP of Planning & Member Experience: Serve as the VP's operational proxy, leading the management layer independently and making high-stakes tactical decisions.
Driving Scale & Performance: . Own the delivery of core metrics – pod NPS, planner capacity, and member action on advice – across a large, scaling workforce, ensuring high volume never dilutes quality.
Champion of Human / Technology Synergy: Lead the organization through the adoption of new technology, ensuring planners retool their skills to act as connectors to our team of experts and products.
Metric Consistency: Drive functional alignment to ensure all members have a high quality experience at every touchpoint.
Strategic Communication: Translate complex business strategies into an inspiring "why" that drives organizational action and talent growth.
Who You Are
A Leader of Leaders: You have deep experience coaching other managers to be better leaders. You know how to build a high-performing leadership bench that takes true ownership of their results.
A Proven Scale Driver: You have explicitly done this before. You have successfully led a large team (50+) through a major structural and/or operational evolution while maintaining peak team performance and high morale.
An Emotional Architect: You possess elite skills in coaching and can help planners navigate the human elements that technology cannot replicate.
A Tech Champion & AI Fluent: You fully embrace AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency and can guide a large workforce through the transition to tech-integrated planning.
Adaptable, Organized & Innovative: You are highly process-oriented but flexible enough to navigate rapid changes. You know how to build the structured frameworks and feedback loops needed to turn complex, high-level business transitions into smooth, organized daily operations.
A Trusted Leader through Change: You possess high empathy and excellent communication skills. You understand that change is hard for people, and know how to build deep trust, handle pushback, and bring hesitant teams along with you.
An Unshakeable Cultural Anchor: You bring contagious high energy, optimism, and relentless positivity to the team. You are a highly resilient leader who thrives under pressure and serves as a stabilizing force that keeps the team focused, motivated, and execution-oriented during rapid growth.
