About Engine
Engine is the AI-native platform for intelligent travel. For a decade, Engine has built the proprietary technology and supply behind modern business travel, serving over 39,000 customers and nearly 2 million travelers, along with leading travel and AI companies that build on Engine 's infrastructure. One system powers business travel, group travel, human agents, and AI agents.
That work has earned recognition as one of Fast Company's Best Workplaces for Innovators (2025), TravelTech's Reservation Platform of the Year (2026), and one of Built In's Best Places to Work (2020–2026).
We're looking for bold, ambitious people to help redefine how businesses manage and experience travel. Working here, you can expect exponential growth, an ambitious pace, full ownership, and high-caliber colleagues who push you to do the best work of your career. Every hire raises the bar.
Come outpace the ordinary and build the future of travel with us.
Your Mission As part of the Engine team, you'll play a vital role in an environment where innovation meets collaboration. Here's what you'll take charge of:
Core Commercial Contracting: Lead the negotiation and lifecycle of Engine 's most important commercial agreements — including OMNI Partner Network rate distribution agreements, online booking tool (OBT) partnerships, customer contracts, and inbound vendor and SaaS agreements – with a pragmatic, business-forward lens.
Cross-Functional Business Partnership: Partner closely with Partnerships, Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Product teams to move deals forward, unlock new opportunities, and deliver legally compliant experiences for our customers and partners.
Program & Framework Leadership: Continually enhance Engine 's contract templates, playbooks, and CLM workflows to scale legal support across the enterprise, build tiered review models, and embed legal early in the deal cycle.
Strategic Legal Advisory: Provide practical, business-oriented guidance to internal stakeholders on commercial risk, contract escalation, and issue resolution, ensuring every negotiation reflects Engine 's risk appetite and commercial objectives.
What You'll Bring to Engine
We're looking for someone who's ready to make an impact and grow alongside us:
Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on commercial contracts experience, either in-house or at a firm with an established commercial transactional practice, backed by a J.D. with an active bar admission in good standing. Prior experience in fintech or travel technology is a plus.
Skills: You're a pragmatic negotiator with deep working knowledge of partnership, distribution, SaaS, and vendor contracts, and you're comfortable translating legal risk into business outcomes in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Experience with data processing agreements, government contracting, or international / cross-border commercial work, or supporting M&A commercial diligence is a plus.
Tech-Savvy: Bonus points if you've worked with a CLM platform (Ironclad, LinkSquares, Docusign CLM, or similar) and can help us continue to build and optimize contract automation and workflows.
Mindset: You're ready to roll up your sleeves, own a broad book of contracts across the enterprise, partner with the business without becoming a bottleneck, and drive practical solutions that move deals forward.
Applications for this role will be accepted through November 30th, 2026 or until the role is filled. We encourage you to apply early, as we may begin reviewing applications before the deadline.
