This position requires strong analytical capabilities, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to work across global markets, external partners, and internal commercial, supply chain, finance, and business development functions.
The ideal candidate will bring 10–15 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably within generics, biosimilars, specialty pharmaceuticals, or B2B pharmaceutical commercialization.
Key Responsibilities

- Identify inconsistencies, gaps, risks, and opportunities across partner forecasts and develop commercially justified recommendations.
- Develop and maintain a consolidated global commercial demand and revenue forecast, incorporating partner inputs and independent internal assessments.
- Evaluate forecast scenarios and their implications for commercial performance, revenue expectations, and supply requirements.
- Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, and commercial performance reviews.
- Establish consistent forecasting methodologies, reporting processes, and performance metrics across the global portfolio.
- Commercial Supply Allocation & Prioritization
- Support the development and implementation of commercially optimized supply allocation strategies across products, markets, and commercialization partners.
- Evaluate allocation options during periods of constrained supply, balancing financial, commercial, contractual, operational, and strategic considerations.
- Develop analytical models to assess alternative allocation scenarios, incorporating factors such as:
- Revenue and contribution margin implications
- Contractual commitments and minimum supply obligations
- Market demand, inventory levels, and near-term requirements
- Product launch priorities and market access considerations
- Partner relationships and long-term strategic importance
- Competitive positioning and potential market share implications
- Inventory exposure, shelf life, and supply constraints
- Quantify financial and commercial trade-offs associated with allocation decisions.
- Work closely with commercial leadership, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, and legal teams to develop allocation recommendations.
- Monitor the commercial impact of supply allocation decisions and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.
- Business Development Forecasting & Business Cases
- Support business development and licensing activities through the development of robust commercial forecasts, financial models, and investment business cases.
- Build market-based forecasts for new products, licensing opportunities, geographic expansions, and potential commercialization partnerships.
- Evaluate market size, competitive landscape, pricing dynamics, market share potential, launch timelines, and commercial uptake assumptions.
10–15 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including commercial forecasting, demand planning, commercial finance, commercial operations, or business analytics.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics, with particular familiarity with the US pharmaceutical market and exposure to international markets.
- Demonstrated experience developing, evaluating, and challenging commercial forecasts.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities, including advanced Excel and scenario analysis.
- Ability to evaluate complex commercial trade-offs involving revenue, profitability, supply constraints, and strategic priorities.
- Experience translating commercial and market assumptions into actionable business recommendations.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a global, matrixed organization.
- Preferred
- Experience in biosimilars, generics, specialty pharmaceuticals, or complex pharmaceutical products.
- Experience in B2B pharmaceutical commercialization, licensing partnerships, or third-party distribution models.
- Exposure to commercial supply allocation, constrained supply planning, or portfolio prioritization.
- Experience supporting business development transactions, licensing evaluations, or new product business cases.
- Familiarity with IQVIA, Symphony Health, or equivalent pharmaceutical market intelligence platforms.
- Experience with global forecasting, S&OP / IBP processes, and commercial performance management.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or comparable analytical tools.
Ideal Candidate Profile

They should be comfortable challenging partner assumptions, developing independent forecasts, evaluating competing commercial priorities, and building financially credible business cases.
Importantly, this individual must be able to look beyond the numbers to understand the underlying commercial realities, identify trade-offs, and provide practical recommendations that improve business outcomes.
The role requires someone who can operate effectively across global markets, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and support senior commercial leadership in making complex decisions.
