About Abby Health
Abby Health is Australia’s busiest online clinic, built for the future of primary care.
Founded in 2023, Abby was established to address one of the most urgent issues in Australian healthcare: access. With one in three Australians now without a regular GP, we're reimagining how people access everyday care—without losing what makes care personal: long-term relationships and detailed patient histories.
We connect patients to licensed GPs and nurse practitioners through same-day, online first care—delivering high-quality treatment for everyday issues, from headaches to herpes, coughs to cramps, and everything in between. Behind the scenes, we use structured patient histories, smart intake tools, and streamlined workflows to make every consult feel more like self-care.
Our approach is guided by three core values:
🔹 Smart – Intelligent systems that surface what matters, when it matters
🔹 Beautiful – A thoughtful, intuitive experience for patients and clinicians alike
🔹 Caring – Human support, continuity of care, and relationships that last
We believe the future of primary care is affordable, same-day, and online first.
A system where most care is delivered remotely—supported by pre-diagnosis tools, wearables, alerts, and proactive follow-up. In-person visits become the exception, not the default. It’s a smarter, safer, more efficient model—one that finally puts patients first.
And it’s already happening.
Since launching, Abby has become one of the most trusted names in digital healthcare in Australia. We’re used by hundreds of thousands of Australians, with a 4.7/5 average rating on Google and Trustpilot.
We’re quality-first and purpose-driven. Whether you’re a patient looking for better answers or a clinician looking for a better way to practise—Abby is here to make care better, for everyone.
Smart. Beautiful. Caring. That’s the future we’re building—for Australian primary care, and the people who rely on it.
Specialist GP (FRACGP/FACRRM) - Fully Remote Telehealth | Australia-Wide
Abby Health is Australia's largest online clinic, built for Specialist GPs who want to practice medicine on their own terms - without sacrificing clinical quality or continuity of care.
We're looking for Fellowship-qualified, currently practicing Specialist GPs to join our remote clinical team. Our Telehealth platform is designed to give doctors more control over their schedule and patient load, allowing them to focus on medicine rather than administrative burdens. It is built around autonomy, structured patient histories, and a governance framework designed by clinicians, for clinicians.
What we offer
A transparent per-consult billing split - 70% to you - with no lock-in contracts Pay isn't a fixed hourly wage: it depends on how many consults you complete and their length and complexity. GPs working at a steady pace of consults typically see $300–$400/hr Practice operations aligned with Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) requirements A workplace consistent with Medical Defence Organisation (MDO) standards and professional indemnity obligations Full control over your schedule, across a 5:30am–11:30pm window, 7 days a week A structured CPD programme and genuine collaboration with a peer group of Specialist GPs A platform built by clinicians who have practised the model themselves, not administrators guessing at what doctors need
Who we're looking for
Current AHPRA Specialist Registration in General Practice, with FRACGP or FACRRM Fellowship
Comfortable working across a fully digital, Telehealth platform
Able to commit a minimum of 8 hours per month
What the role involves
At Abby Health , we care for a diverse range of patients - from everyday acute presentations to chronic disease management, mental health and sexual health care. Our patient base consists of over 12,000 consults per week across the platform, many of whom struggle to access in-person care and rely on Abby as their ongoing point of care rather than a one-off transaction. From new diagnosis to prescription, pathology request, specialist referral, or preventative care, we ensure they get the right treatment without unnecessary barriers.
All our GPs are trained in Telehealth operations and follow strict medical guidelines to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care. All of our patients receive the same level of medical expertise as they would in a traditional clinic. Structured histories and smart intake tools are designed to reduce the administrative load typical of high-volume general practice, so more of your time goes to clinical decision-making.
Our Promise
You'll be supported by the same caring, beautiful, and smart approach to healthcare that we bring to every patient interaction. Both flexibility and structure exist for the same reason: so you can focus on what matters most - helping patients, your way.
How to apply
Applications are reviewed against the criteria above, with AHPRA and Fellowship verification as part of a fast, respectful process - most candidates move from application to a conversation with our clinical leadership team within days.
